Orland "Midnight" G. Austin

Orland “Midnight” G. Austin, 85, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.  He was born February 4, 1938 in Sheboygan to the late Adrian and Florence (Lane) Austin.  Orland proudly served in the US Air Force from 1957 to 1960.

Orland worked at the Kohler Company retiring in 2003.  He loved to ride his motorcycle and was proud to say he took his bike and visited all 48 states. Orland enjoyed listening to classical music and spending time with his family and friends.  He was quite the storyteller and would visit with anyone he met.

Orland is survived by two sons, his sister Patricia (Eugene) Thede, nieces and nephews, Kevin (friend Shelly) Thede, Cassandra (Sam) Stevens, Stacy Thede, Roy Meyer, Ash Thede, Brock Stevens, Constance Stevens, Kendrick (Amanda) Thede, and Caylon (Alicia) Thede, and close friends, Quintin, Emily, and Kiefer Stevens.  He is further survived by other relatives and friends.  Orland was preceded in death by his parents, sister Elizabeth (Leonard) Buss, brother Adrian Lyle Austin, niece Julianne Meyer, and nephew Jeffrey Thede.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8^th St. Sheboygan., with Pastor Scott Jaeger officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
