Patricia Kuhfuss

September 29, 1930 — November 14, 2021

Sheboygan Falls

Patricia (Pat) A. Kuhfuss, 91, formerly of Sheboygan, died peacefully on November 14, 2021 at Pine Haven Christian Community Haven Drive Faith Home.  Pat was born on September 29, 1930, the daughter of Francis and Marie (Schaub) Bartzen in Sheboygan.  She received her early education in the Two Room Lincoln School in Erdman.  She later graduated from Sheboygan Central in 1948.

Pat started her working career at Phoenix Chair Co., then moved to the Kohler Co. in the payroll department.  It was there where Pat met Willard (Bill) Kuhfuss who also worked there.  They were married on October 11, 1952 at St. Dominic Catholic Church rectory in Sheboygan.

Pat would put her work career on hold to raise her children.  She then began work for Leverenz Shoe Co. in the office.  Making many lifelong friends, she stayed there until retirement.

Pat, Bill, and family enjoyed camping all across Wisconsin for many years.

On October 26, 1994, Pat would start a new chapter in her life when Willard died.  She went back to work, helping at The Point restaurant and the Sheboygan County Fair.  Pat began to travel the world with her many friends.  Of her many journeys, Australia and New Zealand were her favorites.

Playing and watching sports were high on Pat's list.  She enjoyed playing softball, golf, swimming, horseshoe and bowling.  Bowling was her favorite.  Pat league bowled for over 45 years, many with the multi time city champion Weavers team.  She won three city doubles championships with her good friend Betty Schoenemann.  Watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren participate in sports brought her great joy.

Pat loved being with people and was fortunate to have so many friends through her life.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who's caring and enthusiasm will be remembered by all.  She was a lifelong member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.

Pat is survived by her children, Michael (Jean) Kuhfuss of Howards Grove, James Kuhfuss of Phoenix, AZ and Laura (James) Tesmer of Kohler; five grandchildren, Sara (David) Smith of Howards Grove, Mark (Angela) Kuhfuss of Sheboygan Falls, Jonathan Tesmer of Oostburg, Kristin Tesmer of St. Petersburg, FL and Nicholas (Grace) Tesmer of Sheboygan; seven great-grandchildren, Matthew and Jackson Tulius, Benjamin, Nicholas and Katherine Smith, Hailey and Jamison Kuhfuss.

Along with her husband and parents, Pat was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Herbert and Minnie Kuhfuss.

A private service will be held for Pat and she will be entombed next to Willard at Lutheran Cemetery.

The family asks that memorials in Pat's name be sent to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Pat's family would like to extend their heart-felt appreciation to the staff at Pine Haven Giddings Campus Covenant Home, The Haven Drive Faith Home, and Sharon S. Richardson Community hospice for the fine care she received during the past two years.  You are amazing people.
