Paul Healy passed away unexpectedly on April 9, 2026 surrounded by his wife and children.
Paul married the love of his life, Debbie, on July 18, 1996. They have enjoyed 29 blissful years of marriage. They not only loved each other wholeheartedly; they were best friends.
Paul’s family was his life. He was a very dedicated, intentional, and present father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his children by helping each of them on their respective adventures. He loved laughing and playing with his grandchildren, who have affectionately named him “Grumpy.”
Paul was a very busy man who enjoyed working with his hands on a plethora of projects at all times. Whether for his home, his family, or his community, whenever he saw needs, he met them and was always quick to help others.
Paul was loved by many for his genuine and kind demeanor, his pleasant and witty sense of humor, and his impeccable timing for sharing dad jokes. Paul’s determination, ambition, and unmatched work ethic were admired by all who knew him – especially his children.
He was often caught by his family for falling asleep in his recliner. He would wake up smiling – fully denying it and claiming he was just “resting his eyes.” As much as we all want to see you wake up smiling again, it’s ok for you to rest your eyes now in peace. We love you so much, and you will be missed more than words can express.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
Paul leaves behind his loving wife, Debbie Healy; his children, Tom Healy, Jess DeVries (Zak), Derek Healy (Elise), Emily Healy Moncayo (Sebastian); his grandchildren; Elise Healy, Blake Healy, Zoe DeVries, Eden DeVries, Lucas Healy; siblings, Howard Healy (Eleanore), John Healy (Mary), Bob Healy (Mary), Beth Healy (Mike Fordney), Meg Graham (Mike); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Florence Healy.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and caregivers at St. Francis Medical Center and all those who have supported them during this unimaginably difficult time.
