Perry R. Van Engen, age 67, of Sheboygan passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.
He was born on April 14, 1957, to Richard Van Engen and Jessica (Perry) Reischel. He attended North High School and went on to proudly serve in the United States Navy. He was employed at Pomp’s Tires for many years, retiring in 2022.
Perry enjoyed working on motorcycles, going fishing, collecting Hot Wheels and making fishing lures. Riding motorcycles and going to the races with his brothers was a favorite pastime. Building model rockets and planes with his grandchildren are memories Perry cherished. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his father, Richard Van Engen; children, Jacob (Megan Medendorp) Van Engen, Katti Molina, and Taschia (Andrew Segovia) Van Engen; grandchildren, Madalena, Elliana, MJ, Andrew III, David Jr., Abigail, Gabriel, Adalynn, Aubriella, Ayden, and Melody; brothers, Ricky (Sue) Van Engen and Troy (Jenny) Van Engen and a sister Carrie (Jeff) Mueller. Nieces, nephews, other family and friends further survive.
Perry was preceded in death by his mother, Jessica Reischel and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Following Perry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Perry’s name.
