Regina K Ellinger, age 74, passed away peacefully on December 28th, 2023 at Aurora Medical Center Sheboygan. She was surrounded by loving family and friends. She was a devoted wife to Gary R Ellinger, her husband of 49 years, and a dedicated mother to her two sons, Anthony and Steven.

One of three sisters, Regina was born to the late Olive (Robson) and Francis Buschmann in Sheboygan on March 15th, 1949. She is survived by her husband Gary and sons Anthony and Steven. She is also survived by the families of her sisters: Fran Matelko and Debra Graf. She was loved by her childhood and lifelong friends Judy Sonneman, Jackie Elsesser, Rene Butzen, and Linda Herber.

She attended North High School and graduated in the class of 1967. She became a licensed Barbering Cosmetology Practitioner and worked several local salons including Regis and Cut-Rite. She found joy in sharing stories with her clients.

She was a creative person and enjoyed music, crafts, and dancing. She especially loved the music of the Supremes and other Motown groups of the 60s. She was an avid viewer of All My Children. Her love of science fiction and stories led her to introduce her sons to Dr Who and Star Trek. She would later add Jurassic Park, How to Train Your Dragon, Naruto, and Harry Potter to her favorites. They shared many hours enjoying movies and paranormal shows. She enjoyed bowling, crafting, puzzles, singing, and camping with her family.

The family would like to thank the amazing nursing staff at Aurora Medical Center Sheboygan for all the care, compassion, and support they gave Regina and her family.

We would also like to thank the Lilly Cares Foundation, which assisted with insulin and medication costs for many years.

The family will gather with relatives and friends on Friday, January 26, 2023 from 12:00pm-12:30pm in the chapel at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave, Kohler, WI 53044. Prayers at 12:30pm, urn burial will immediately follow.
