Robert Gottlieb Weimann, age 93, passed away surrounded by his family on August 13, 2025. He was born in Sheboygan on March 17, 1932 to the late Gottlieb and Amalia (Jorsch) Weimann.

Robert honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956. He completed his basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, and went to school for Control Tower Operator in Biloxi, Mississippi. He then transferred to Madison, Wisconsin to work in the tower, and later worked as a Tech Supply Specialist in the Radar Unit.

Following his honorable service in the military, Bob was a plant manager at National Plastic Crafters and Wisconsin Plastics (a division of Bemis). He also worked as a Sales Engineer for many years, selling parts to automotive companies in Michigan, and was a part-owner of a plastic manufacturing company in Ubly, Michigan. He retired from John W. Gillette Manufacturing on November 22, 1988.

His life was forever changed when he met Nancy Kather at the Ru-Ma Roller Rink, and on June 20, 1953, they were united in marriage at the pastor’s home at St. Paul in Sheboygan. Together they raised 2 children, Kevin and Kari.

Bob’s faith was very important to him. He and Nancy were long time members of St. Johns UCC in Sheboygan. Bob also enjoyed playing guitar, and golfing in his free time. He and Nancy loved to travel, visiting Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria to name a few. There were so many adventures along the way. His family remembers one particular night in Italy that involved a wine cellar tour and a 2 a.m. dinner.

The family would like to thank Sharon S. Richardson Hospice, and especially his nurse Hope Fox, for the excellent care they provided to Bob and his family.

Robert is survived by his wife of 72 years, Nancy, and their children Kevin Weimann of Kohler and Kari (Robert) Fischer of Sheboygan; his grandchild David Essinger of Oak Park, Illinois; his siblings, Carl Weimann, Kenneth Weimann, Donald (June) Weimann, and John Weimann; and his sister-in-law Terry Weimann. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
