Roger Fields

Roger P. Fields, 85, of Sheboygan, passed away, Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Sunny Ridge Health and Rehab Center. Roger was born April 2, 1927 in Sheboygan to the late Peter and Pauline (Trester) Fields. He attended Holy Name Parochial School and he graduated from Central High School in 1947. Roger retired from the Vollrath Company after 46 years, working in the maintenance department. Roger was a life-long member of Holy Name Parish. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Third Degree, Catholic Knights Society, was a volunteer at Sheboygan County Museum, Seils Sterling Tent #79 Circus Fans Association of America. He is survived by two sons, John (Lynn) Fields and David (Carol) Fields; one daughter, Mary (Dale) Lindsay; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas (Pat) Fields and one sister, Mary (Ralph) Radke. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Roger at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Holy Name of Jesus Parish (814 Superior Ave, Sheboygan) with the Rev Jim Connell officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20 at Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove) from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, at the church, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name for Holy Name School. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Sunny Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
