Ronald H. Bramstedt, 67, of rural Elkhart Lake, passed away at his home Wednesday evening, May 29th, 2013 after a 27 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Ronnie was born May 21st, 1946 to the late Roman and Lavera (Hammerschmidt) Bramstedt. He graduated in 1964 from Howards Grove High School and in 1965 from the machining program at LTI. On July 29th, 1967 he married the former Joann Nauschutz at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove where he was a lifelong member. Ronnie and Joann were truly inseparable and enjoyed 45 years of marriage. Ronnie worked at Hayssen for a year before returning to the Bramstedt homestead in the Town of Herman to farm with his parents. In 1976, Ronnie and Joann purchased the dairy farm and operated it for 30 years before retiring in 2006. He was an usher and greeter at Trinity Lutheran Church, a founding member of the Lakeshore Driftbusters snowmobile club, and also held a term on the zoning committee for the Town of Herman. He loved watching both Nascar and the Packers, feeding and watching the birds in his yard and going for a ride in his convertible Mustang. Ronnie is survived by his wife Joann, three children, Vicki (Jon) DeRuyter of Cedar Grove, Timothy (Virginia) Bramstedt of the Town of Sheboygan and Tanya (Jared) Zander of rural Plymouth; grandchildren Natalie and Jackson DeRuyter, Adison and Braelyn Zander, baby boy Zander due in October, and Alex (fiancé Crystal) Kornetzke; mother-in-law Eda Nauschutz of Howards Grove and sister Marlene (Robert) Ruh of rural Elkhart Lake. He is also survived by brother-in-law Karl (Pat) Nauschutz of Howards Grove and sisters-in-law Sharon (Chucky) Herzog, Linda Drexler and Becky (Paul) Schlegel all of Howards Grove, Cora (Mike) Pachniak of Mosinee and Barbara (Bernie) McKichan of Sheboygan. Many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends also survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Paul Nauschutz, brothers-in-law Robert Damrow and Steve Drexler, and niece Pamela Ruh. A funeral to celebrate Ronnie's life will take place on Monday June 3, 2013 at 11 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove with Pastor Darrell Bergelin officiating. Entombment will take place at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum in the Town of Sheboygan.Family and friends may gather at Zimmer's Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center on Sunday June 2, 2013 from 4 until 8 p.m.from 4:00 to 8:00 and at the church on Monday from 9 A.M. until the time of the service. Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church or PanCan (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network) may be made in his memory. Ronnie's family would like to thank Dr. George, Megan and Staff at the Froedert Cancer Center, Dr. H. Marshall Matthews and Staff at Matthews Oncology, and the wonderful women (Terri, Mary Ann, Kris and Sara) from the St Nicholas Hospice who so lovingly cared for our entire family and guided us on this journey.
