It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our precious mother, Rose (Rosie) Ann Folz, who left us on May 4, 2025, at the age of 86.
Rosie leaves behind her loving children, Cindy (Jeff) Pantel, Don Folz, and Lisa (Jon) Eisch; her cherished grandchildren, Shaun Pantel, Collin Eisch, Alex Pantel, Logan Eisch, Emily (Braidy) Solie, and Jacob Folz; and her precious great-grandchild, Weston Solie. She is also survived by her siblings: John McDonell, Michael McDonell, Dianne (John) Labbadia, Roxann (Jeff) Wagner, Chuck (Ruth) McDonell, as well as brothers-in-law Frank Kreidler, David Kasten, and many nieces and nephews.
Rosie will be warmly welcomed in heaven by her beloved husband, Don, with whom she shared 36 years of marriage, and her cherished son, Scott, who is deeply missed. She will also be reunited with her parents, Donald and Eleanor McDonell, along with her sisters, Patricia Kreidler and Kathleen Kasten, and her brothers, Richard and Thomas McDonell.
Rosie was the proud owner of Rosie's Café, a beloved gathering spot in the local community, known for its hearty meals and lively conversations. Later, she found her calling as an in-home caregiver, where she spent many years offering her love and compassion to others. Rosie also volunteered with St. Dominic Parish, delivering in-home communion to those unable to attend Mass.
Rosie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She especially loved the moments spent gathered with family—sharing stories, laughter, and a cold beer. These everyday experiences, rich with love and connection, were the ones she treasured most. Her warmth and appreciation for the little things made every gathering feel like something special.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Compassus Hospice and Lakeshore Manor in Oshkosh for the care and compassion Rosie received.
A memorial service to honor Rosie will be held at St. Dominic Church, 2133 N. 22nd St., Sheboygan, on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Phillip Reifenberg officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
Burial will take place at Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan immediately following service.
