Rosemary G. Hermann, age 76, of Sheboygan passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Sheboygan Senior Community.
She was born in Sheboygan on November 2, 1946, to the late John Zupancic and Lorraine Ellenbecker. Howard Kittelson adopted her and her four siblings when she was nine. She graduated from North High School in 1965 and went on to nurses aide school. Rosie was a nurses aid for over 20 years at Memorial Medical Center, retiring in 2009. She was a member of the GWRRA and a fan of the Red Hats Society. On July 26, 1969, Rosie married Kenneth Hermann. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2017.
Rosie loved her collection of Elvis, Coca-Cola and model trains, knitting and crocheting, baking and cooking, camping, motorcycle riding, and going to the casino, with Vegas trips being her favorite. Above all, Rosie’s family meant the world to her. She loved making memories with them and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children, Sandra (Mike) Moore and David (Stephanie) Hermann; grandchildren, Andrew and Anthony Moore; siblings, Lorraine (Lori) Matzdorf and John (Jean) Kittelson; a sister-in-law Marilyn Kittelson; a brother-in-law Mick Hermann; an aunt, Mary Palmer; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Along with her parents, Rosie was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth (Melvin) VanDerWeele; brother, Joseph Kittelson; a brother-in-law Gilbert Matzdorf and a sister-in-law, Betsy Hermann and a niece Maxine LaFave.
A Memorial Service for Rosemary will take place at 4:00 PM on Monday, February 27, 2023, at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N 8th St. in Sheboygan, with Deacon Michael Burch officiating. Family will greet visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 PM until the time of service. For those who would like to attend her service virtually, can do so on her obituary page on the funeral home website.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Rosie’s name.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sheboygan Senior Community for the excellent care given to Rosie. They would also like to thank Lori who spent endless hours with Rosie and just being the best big sister and friend.
