Shirley M. Spielvogel

Shirley M. Spielvogel, age 88, of Sheboygan, went to her heavenly home on Monday, June 30, 2025.

She was born in Sheboygan on April 27, 1937, to the late Joseph and Mary (Markelz) Moscardine. She graduated from Central High School in 1955. Shirley was a member of The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer and then St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls.

Shirley was formerly employed with The Sheboygan Press and Shoreline Chronicle.

On November 19, 1960, Shirley was united in marriage to Wayne Spielvogel at The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, Sheboygan. The couple built their home in the Town of Sheboygan, where they resided for over 60 years.

In her earlier years, Shirley loved bowling, playing cards and traveling, especially the many family trips to Aruba. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially the weekend fry-outs at their home. She will be deeply missed.

Shirley is survived by her children, Suzanne Dempster of Sheboygan Falls, Shari (Tim) Kaat of Sheboygan Falls, Steven (Jill) Spielvogel and Sandra (James Fergades) Spielvogel, all of Sheboygan; six grandchildren, Justin (Elo) Dempster, Taylor (special friend Kaitlyn) Kaat, Amanda (Dean) Wingert, Aaron (Kenzie) Spielvogel, Derek Spielvogel and Alec Spielvogel; great-granddaughter, Octavia Spielvogel; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters Jennie McDonough and Margaret Spalinger.

Services for Shirley will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 730 Cty Hwy PPP in Sheboygan Falls. Family will greet visitors in the church on Tuesday, from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Memorial donations can be made in Shirley's name to either The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer or St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls.
