Stephen Wilson

July 27, 1994 — August 19, 2019

Stephen J. Wilson, of Sheboygan, succumbed to his battle with addiction and depression and took his own life Monday, August 19, 2019. He was 25 years old.
Stephen was born July 27, 1994 in Plymouth, the son of Tanya J. Konitzer and Jeffrey G. Wilson. He graduated from Warriner High School in 2012. Stephen worked in the construction and roofing industry, most recently for Oostburg Concrete. Stephen loved working with his hands and was always proud of a job well done.
Stephen enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, cooking, music, playing video games, gardening and was an avid animal lover. Stephen loved spending time with his family and friends and always considered it his personal mission to make others laugh. Stephen loved adventures and was never afraid to try anything new, unless it involved high places.
Stephen was planning on going to school for culinary arts and was also planning a life with Brooklyn Lyon, the love of his life. He was a good dad and was excited to watch his son Wesley grow up. Stephen was looking forward to a family vacation to Costa Rica this December. Stephen had a special bond with his mother and his sister and was often teased for being a "mama's" boy. The void left in our hearts by Stephen's death can never be filled.
Stephen is survived by his parents Tanya J. Konitzer of Oak Creek and Jeffery G. Wilson of Sheboygan. He is further survived by his son Wesley James Wilson of Sheboygan, sister Sarah Smith of Ashwaubenon, brothers Charles Wilson of Sheboygan and Jeffrey (Aleah) Wilson of PA, grandparents Jim (Linda) Konitzer of Manitowoc and Terry (Al) Schulz of Grafton, his special aunt Trudy Albert and his girlfriend, Brooklyn Lyon along with his pet kitty Sophie "Fat Cat", as well as many other relatives and countless friends.
A Memorial Service celebrating Stephen's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. in Sheboygan. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00-4:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Stephen's name to support The Brain and Behavior Research Foundation which raises awareness and funds research for mental illness in order to discover new treatment methods and medications for mental illness, including depression and addiction. www.bbrfoundation.org
The family wishes to express deep gratitude for Tiffany Christenson and the staff at Ballhorn Chapel for the exceptional care given to Stephen and his family in this very difficult time.
