Susan Bentdahl

Susan Kay (Janke) Bentdahl, 63 of Fond du Lac passed away September 28, 2017 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond Du Lac, WI. Susan was born Oct. 19, 1953 to Garry and Donna Janke. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemer in Sheboygan.

Susan was a graduate of Sheboygan South High School in 1971. After high school Sue trained and worked at Memorial Hospital as an assistant in the surgery room. What she enjoyed most was her 22 years at the Kohler Company as a professional secretary. Later on, Susan taught pre-school for several years.
Susan and Marlow Bentdahl were married August 19, 1994 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.

Susan is survived by her husband Marlow, daughters Jennifer (Jon) Rindt, Kristine (Wayne) Hardy and children by marriage, Bryan, Brandon, and Tahnae. Grandchildren Jonah and Katherine Rindt, Grace, Malana, and Jeremy Hardy, parents Garry and Donna, siblings David (Sandy) Janke, Mary (Mike) Schutte, and John (Cheryl) Janke and many nieces and nephews.
Susan was preceded in death by grandparents Rudy and Edna Janke, Norman Rudie, and
Adam Bentdahl.

After retirement Susan enjoyed spending quality time with her husband, family and babysitting her grandchildren. Susan enjoyed the outdoors, bird watching, taking care of her home, baking, playing piano, and reading.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan, on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Additional visitation will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 Wisconsin Ave, Sheboygan, on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tim Mech officiating. Susan will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank her doctors and nurses at St. Agnes, Rocky Knoll and Hospice Home of Hope for their tender loving care.
