John H. Buchberger, 71, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012. After a long courageous battle with cancer, he died peacefully at home with his wife of 46 years by his side. John was born February 12, 1941 in Manitowoc , to the late Joseph and Loretta (Piehl) Buchberger. He graduated from Central High School in 1959. John was employed by the Kohler Company for 43 years. On December 31, 1966, he married the former Cathleen Pippert at St. Wendel Catholic Church. He spent many enjoyable hours fishing in Lake Michigan with his buddies, Ben, Dick and Otis. John also enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, woodworking and attending his grandchildren's many sporting events. He was a member of the Cleveland Fish and Game Club and Dan's Gunners trap team. In addition to his wife, Cathy, he is survived by one daughter, Christine Meyer; two grandchildren, Kendall Meyer and Collin Meyer and one sister, Mary Buchberger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Buchberger, Jr. and one sister, Diane Buchberger. A private memorial service will be held.
