Obituary

Ronald Schroeder Sr., 83, of Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday evening, January 12, 2021 at Morningside Health Services in Sheboygan.

Ronald was born to Frank and Alice (Kausler) Schroeder on January 17, 1937 in Sheboygan. He attended Sheboygan area schools. After his schooling, Ronald joined the United States Army during the Korean War. In 1988, he married Arlene Waite in Sheboygan.

Ronald was employed with Kohler Company for 34 years. After his retirement, Ronald greatly enjoyed driving bus for Prigges Bus Company.

Ronald had a love for serving others, whether you were family, friend, or stranger. Ronald and Arlene both greatly enjoyed their volunteer work with the Salvation Army. Ronald would drive the Salvation Army bus, shuttling people to and from church, Sunday School, summer camps, and to the Christmas lights. Ronald was also involved with the Upper Room, attending bible study every Tuesday morning with Arlene for many years.

Ronald and Arlene went on many trips together to Florida, Montana, and Nashville. One of his favorite trips was his family reunion in North Carolina.

Ron will be surely missed by his loving wife, Arlene, and all his family, relatives, and friends. “God saw that a cure was not to be, so he put his loving arms around you and took you home.”

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Arlene; children, Richard Schroeder (Judy), Patti (Jim) Quinn, Ronald (Teresa) Schroeder Jr., Barbara (Michael) Walters; stepchildren, David Schnitzler, Ann Schnitzler; 17 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Ray Diebel; and many other relatives and friends.

Ronald is preceded in death by his son, Michael Schroeder; granddaughter, Amy Schnitzler; parents; and sisters, Marion Diebel and Geraldine Pikowski.

Ronald will be inurned at Wildwood Cemetery.
